Moving on up!!

The last day of school was also Wilson and Peyton's last day of swim lessons before summertime!! Wilson did such a great job with his back float, freestyle swim, backstroke, elementary backstroke, and he even learned the rotary breathing freestyle this year! He has once again proven himself to be an amazing swimmer!!


Peyton could do all of the things that Miss Katie asked him to do, but he did it in his own way! He showed off his backfloat, fin-and-kick, and freestyle swim; but he was not scared to take a break to smile for the spectators, or add in an extra backfloat whenever he pleased!! He is a funny kid; and despite his crazy antics, he can swim like a fish!!

Wilson talked his way throught the elementary backstroke every time! Little bird, big bird, FLAP!! He never skipped a beat!

The 3rd graders are grooving and moving to 4th grade!!



FOURTH grade here they come!!


Ryan and Mrs. Smith on the last day of 3rd grade, and then a look back to the first day!! Ryan sure has grown this year, but in so many more ways than stature alone!!

Moving on over to Kindergarten... we enjoyed our pizza party and then got to blow bubbles in class!!

When we were outside chalking on the sidewalk, Ryan's 3rd and 4th grade friends asked for my autograph! I never knew that it would be fun to sign my name to something, but I felt famous for a minute!!

Just as our shirts say, Kindergarten is so last year...
FIRST grade here we come!!


Mrs. Reynolds is retiring after today. It makes me very happy that I was able to be in her last class, but it makes me a little sad that Wilson will not get to have her as his Kindergarten teacher. She is a super teacher who taught Ryan and me so many great things as Kindergarteners! Mrs. Reynolds challenged us to learn new things each day and encouraged us to do our best all year long!! We spent the school year learning first grade math, spelling out our own words and writing our own sentences about our lessons, and I am leaving Kindergarten reading on a 3rd grade level! I think that she has prepared me for a wonderful 1st grade year!!
