A SUPER Spring Break!!

With Spring Break comes the Heritage Festival, and we were so excited that our cousins came to Nederland to enjoy the festival fun!

 

 We kicked things off with a ride on the Musik Express, and we didn't slow down until the day was done!!

 

We love seeing our friends at the festival...

...and we love trying new rides!  This is Ryan's first time to ride the Pharaoh.  He wasn't thrilled at the thought of it, but I think that his face shows that it wasn't too unbearable!!

I had a lot of fun hanging with the big boys, but I was happy to join Wilson, Hannah, Ava, and Kaly for a ride or two!

 

To finish off the night, I was super happy to "take a whirl" with my buddies Brady Corcoran and Kooper Grant!

 

We started Wednesday afternoon at the festival in HIGH style on the Super Shot!!  Jake Havard and I took a quick ride up and flew right back down...

 

 

...and then Wilson joined me for a quick shot!!

 

 

On Saturday, we took a break from the festival for some 10U Elite Roughrider Baseball and 8U Select Gladiator Baseball at Ford Park!  It was the Roughriders first tournament of the season and Ryan kicked off the season on the mound.  The boys lost their first game 8-7 to Champion Baseball, but then celebrated a 11-7 win over Rage Baseball!  We split our games as well, losing 17-1 to Tornado Baseball, but then pulling out a 13-5 win over Champion Baseball.  All-in-all, it was a great afternoon at the ballpark!!

 

 

 

After the games were played, we went back the festival for some FUN!

 

 

 

 

Peyton LOVED riding on the Kite Flyer!  He said it made him feel like Superman!!

 

Bumper cars were my favorite!!

 

 

Wilson wanted to drive the bumper cars, but wasn't quite tall enough... so we headed straight to the cars that allowed him to sit in the driver's seat and be in "full control."  He was super happy!!

...while Peyton and I chose the bench seat!

 

We couldn't convince Ryan to get on the Super Shot with us and Peyton was not tall enough for the ride yet, but Wilson and I went for one last spin on the Super Shot!

 

We ran into some of our Roughrider Baseball buddies on the way out!

Sunday morning brought more baseball our way... the Gladiators and Roughriders were back in action at Ford Park!!  The Roughriders lost their first game to Rage Baseball 17-6.  This is the team's first season to start at the Elite level of play and they will have to continue to work hard in order to catch up to teams who have already played a handful of tournaments!  Gladiator Baseball celebrated through the day with a 12-8 victory over Ballistic Baseball, a 12-11 nail-biting win over Tornado Baseball, and a final success as we defeated the Gulf Coast Surge 7-3!!

 

 

 

Those three wins made us the 8U Select Champions!!

I was so very proud of my team!  Our first Championship of the spring season!!

 

I loved that my brothers were there to celebrate victory with me!!

 

I think that I have the best "bag boy" ever!!  Peyton was so excited for me, and he insisted on pulling my big bag out of the park and to the car!!  I sure love my baseball brothers!!



Good Books and Grandparents!

Bookfair week at Langham was fun for us all!  We had fun dressing for book characther day! I dressed as Mickey Mouse, Dylan was Derek Jeter, Ryan was a Houston Dynamo soccer player, and Peyton even joined in and dressed as our favorite Phillies player Brian Sanches!!

The most special part of Bookfair Week at Langham is Grandparent's Day!  Ryan and I enjoyed breakfast with Granna and Nana, while Dylan and his first grade friends hosted a musical performance for their grandparents!!

They sang songs about being healthy, eating food that is good for you, and exercising to become stronger!

Dylan was very shy when he was singing and performing, but by the smiles that he flashed between songs, I think that he was happy to be on stage with his friends!!

 

Happy Grandparent's Day to Granna and Nana... two wonderful ladies who make our days happier!  They love us from top to bottom, inside and out, and they are proud of us ALWAYS!!  It is a fantastic feeling to be loved that much!

 

Friday was the end of a fun week, and the beginning of another fun week... Spring Break!!  We kicked off the week with a basketball tournament in Liberty.  After a game on Friday and three games on Satruday, Ryan and his teammates walked away with championship trophies!!

Race to the finish!



It was the last weekend in February, and we were suited up and ready for our final Little Dribblers game!  The season passed quickly, but it sure was fun for us all!!

 

Peyton always had a ball watching the games!  He would clown around a bit on the court...

...act a little silly in the stands, but his favorite part was hitting the court at halftime to dribble and shoot like the big boys!

 

We had a super season, only losing two games!  We decided we were okay with the two losses since we had also won a game against each of the teams that beat us!!  Bryson Gomez, Braden Romero, Jeffery Nguyen, Brady Corcoran, Jackson Yoder, Dylan, Jake Havard; and in front, my kindergarten friend Hunter Adams and me.

8U Little Dribblers is usually a first and second grade sport, but this kindergartener had a blast playing with the big boys!  I loved running up and down the court, dribbling around the big guys, and taking shots when I could!!

 

On Monday morning, my brothers and I were at school, but Paw Paw McClenan stopped by our house to visit with Peyton and Mommy!  Peyton entertained Paw Paw with is silly chatter, they talked a little about the football great Walter Payton, and of course discussed their love of Texas A&M!  Paw Paw always tells us how important a college education is... especially an Aggie education!

 

The next weekend was Ryan's last YMCA basketball game, and my best buddy Ayden Sunday came  to watch the big boys play!  I was so excited to see him at the game!!

 

Ryan and the DOGS played a great season... UNDEFEATED!!

On Sunday, March 3, the Bell Boys were at Bulldog Stadium and ready to run the Annual Heritage Festival Fun Run!  Dylan is missing from the photo because he was at Ford Park playing in a baseball tournament with the Gladiators.  We sure missed having him with us, but baseball takes precedent every time!!

 

 

This is the first year that the Fun Run hosted a Tiny Tot Run for the young runners.  Peyton and his young buddies lined up for the 150 meter run!  Sweet big brothers, Ryan and Payne Barrow, getting their little brothers ready at the starting line!!

We were so proud of our little buddy and he was so happy to receive a medal for running an outstanding race!!

After Peytons super sprint, we walked over to prepare for the mile run.  Peyton saw our buddy Fletcher Berry and wished him good luck!!

 

Ryan and I were set at the starting line and ready for my very first mile race!  Ryan decided to run the race with me instead of running for his own time.  What a great big brother!!

After I crossed the finish line, my body HURT and it was very hard to breathe!!  WHEW... I was worn out after that run, but I was excited that I ran a great race!

 

 

Ryan and I were a great running team!  I am so grateful that he was my partner!!

 

I was over the moon excited when they called WILSON BELL as the 1st place winner in the age 6 and under category!!  I completed my mile in 7minutes and 56seconds... and I couldn't have done it without my big brother encouraging me to hustle through the race!

 

We felt like CHAMPIONS!!

 

We couldn't have been happier if we had won one hundred bucks!!
