Class of 2024!

We were so proud to watch Bell Boy #2 graduate from Pre-Kindergarten this evening! He was amazingly entertaining on that stage :) Dylan David Bell is an official graduate of Little Wooden Shoes; a proud member of the Pre-Kindergarten Class of 2011...  Graduating Class of 2024!! With great pride and confidence, we will watch Dylan enter Kindergarten at Langham Elementary in August!

Let the Swimming Begin!!

This week, my little brothers had swimming lessons while I was in school. I am not sure that it is completely fair, but that's the way it goes! Mom took lots of pictures and video so that I could see their showoff today!! I am such proud big brother of all three little swimmers :)

A lot of pictures of Wilson and Peyton together, but these two don't stand close to each other and still very often!!

Here is a picture of Peyton floating on his back. He did such a good job... he would get so relaxed floating that he would cross his legs, and he even yawned one time! It looked like he was taking a nap on the water!!

Peyton was a great swimmer too. He put his superman arms out front and kicked his little legs all the way across the pool! Here is a picture of him with his chipmunk cheeks preparing to dive for the rings on the bottom. He came up with a ring every time!

Wilson did a wonderful job as well. I have to brag a little since Wilson works so very hard to be as "big" as we are!! The "exceptional 3 year old swimmer" (per Ms. Kara at last year's lessons) started working on his freestyle last year and picked up right where he left off! He added the 'kick and fin' back float to his list of "strokes"... he even did the backstroke today!! Ms. Kara said that this is the first time she has ever taught a 4year old the back stroke :) Here is our wild Wilson, yelling BONSAI as he did a cannon ball into the pool, followed by his freestyle and backstroke!!

Dylan was a confident swimmer with a good freestyle, kick and fin, backstroke, and elementary backstroke. He even swam to the bottom of the deep end to retrieve dive sticks and rings! I think that the swimmers are ready for summertime!!



I did get to enjoy a walking field trip at school this week, so I can't complain too much! Yesterday, we walked to Domino's Pizza and learned a little about the business side of things... and more importantly, we each got to make our VERY OWN small pizza! Talk about made the way I like it and FRESH!! It was a fun day.

Today we had a Read-a-Thon in honor of the last day to earn AR points for the school year! I made it to the 100 point club on Tuesday and earned a few extra points today. A great way to wrap up my reading for the year!

A little baseball at Ford Park this weekend, an Astros game for Dylan and Wilson on Tuesday, and then Dylan's Pre-K Graduation on Thursday evening!! Looking forward to a lot of end of the year excitement! We will keep the updates coming -Ryan

A Mother's Day weekend made for a BOYMOM!

We had another fun baseball weekend! Mommy said that there was no better way to spend her Mother's Day weekend than at the ballpark with her boys!!

The Astros played on Saturday at noon, and then we moved on to the Roughrider games after that...

Back to Ford Park on Sunday afternoon for another Roughrider game. There was a photographer at the tournament and this is the official Ryan Bell poster from the tournament!!

Since we didn't quite get enough baseball out at the field, we played catch and hit a little when we got home :)



We wish all of the wonderful ladies in our life a very Happy Mother's Day! Granny, Granna, Nana, Grandma, Aunt Jenn, Aunt Meredith, Aunt Allie, and Nanny Lawren... we are so blessed to have you in our lives!! Hugs and kisses to you all on this very special day and all year through :)

Happy Cinco de Mayo, Dylan!

Happy 6th Birthday, Dylan! We hope it was your best birthday yet... we sure enjoyed the days events!! The birthday celebration began at school with a yummy donut for morning snack with our Pre-K classmates. After that, we celebrated Cinco de Mayo style with a baseball pinata... lots of fun for everyone!!


As soon as we finished up the school day, we put on our Astros uniforms and headed for the Little League park for a baseball game. After the game, we headed to Mazzio's with our teammates to celebrate the BIG 6!


You can't ask for anything better than a baseball game followed by a pizza dinner with the guys :)


We returned home to find that Dylan got a dog for his birthday, but not quite the dog that he had been asking for!! He got a Bulldog statue instead of a real live dog, but he wasn't at all disappointed... this will satisfy him for now!


The perfect ending to Dylan's 6th birthday... a neighborhood bike ride!! Dylan LOVES riding bikes and he rode with his buddy Jake until dark!


We love you, Dylan and we are so happy that we got to celebrate your 6th birthday with family and friends!! No matter how much we "battle" each day, you are a wonderful big brother and I love you SO MUCH! Your brother- Wilson

Ryan's First Holy Communion

What a blessed day it was!! Today Ryan celebrated his First Communion alongside his friends, surrounded by his family. It was such a proud moment to see Ryan receive the Body of Christ... to see him so close to Jesus... to see our big brother standing so proudly in front of Father Dan and respectfully, confidently, and lovingly taking Communion for the first time. We are so very blessed to have enjoyed this day together with him!!

Our hearts were so proud as we listened to Ryan along with the 76 other children who received their First Communion say together, "Dear Jesus, Come to me. I want to know You, I want to love You, I want to serve You. This day and always. Amen."
