Our Baby Brother is TWO!

Happy Birthday to you (cha cha cha), Happy Birthday to you (cha cha cha), Happy Birthday dear Peyton, Happy Birthday to you (cha cha cha)!! That is Peyton's Happy Birthday Song, sung just how he likes it :)

Peyton woke up singing happy birthday to himself and has had a very happy day! He had a football party since his favorite thing in the world is a bulldog (known as a football jersey to most)! His cake was in the shape of a jersey (a mom masterpiece since the stores said that a cake in the shape of a shirt was impossible). It was nothing fancy, but Peyton said "I love it!"
Peyton loves to pop balloons! This is him taking a swing at his birthday balloons hoping that one will POP!

In two years, Peyton has brought so much joy and excitement to our family! That little guy fits right in... he loves hitting, playing "grounders," shooting hoops ("put the hoop low please, mom"), running, kicking the soccer ball around, and just about any other sport that us big boys are playing! He loves his family, but he is partial to daddy (unless one of us is wearing a "bulldog"... we get lots of love and hugs when we wear our "bulldogs")! Like most two year olds, he is very independent. "I can do it" is a phrase that we hear often! Other famous quotes "Where is my Daddy," "I want some Gatorade, please," "Who let the dogs out? Who, Who, Who, Who?," "Go Bulldogs," "I want to play grounders," "Can I have a snack, please?," and our favorite "I wuv you!"

Here we all are in our "bulldogs!" We love our Peyton!!

A Job Well Done!

Congratulations to our Big Brother Ryan on another super six weeks at school and an award winning photograph in the PTA Reflections Program! The photo that Ryan took of the three of us in the pumpkin patch was awarded the Award of Merit in the Primary Division at the City Council Level... we are so proud of him!! In more basic terms, this means that there was only one elementary school photography entry in Nederland that was better than Ryan's entry. A neat experience for us all to enjoy with our big brother!

We have been spending as much time as we can outside, but it has been super cold! In this cold weather, we have had fun bundling up and playing in the great indoors!

The next couple of weeks will be full of birthday celebrations {Granna will be 58 on the 23rd, Paw Paw 58 on the 25th, and Peyton will turn 2 on the 30th, in February Nana will be 58 on the 3rd, and then on the 10th Ryan will turn 8}... LOTS of happy days to be celebrated! Our sweet baby Peyton is anxiously awaiting the BIG TWO!!

Happy 2011!

We had a super happy New Year's Eve! Mommy and Daddy went to a party with friends, so we wore silly hats, popped fireworks, and toasted sparkling grape juice with Aunt Allie and Jerry. We had lots of fun!!

We made it until midnight and then some! Peyton fell asleep shortly after midnight, but we waited up to make sure that Mommy and Daddy made it safely home... and THEN we watched a movie. Here we are with Mommy after she got home.

Allie and Jerry survived! Thanks for the fun :)

We hope that you had a wonderful 2010 and we wish you an even better 2011! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
