Happy Travels!

Christmas Day didn't mark the end of our Christmas celebration.  We still had memories to make and family to visit!!  We first traveled to The Texas State Railroad in Palestine, Texas to ride on The Polar Express.  We were so eager for the journey that we cooperated for every picture that Mom wanted to take!

Wilson held onto The Polar Express book from the moment that we got out of the car (you can look at all of the pictures that were taken, but I think that he may have only let go of it long enough to drink his hot chocolate)!

We arrived at the train station and were ready to board The Polar Express!!
ALL ABOARD!

Good hugs and silly faces make me happy!!

I sure love my Bubba Wilson!  His excitement and love of life are truly inspiring!!

HOT-HOT-Hot Chocolate!!

After the hot chocolate and chocolate chip cookies were served, the story began.  Wilson followed along... I don't think he missed a word that was read!!

YUM YUM YUMMY hot chocolate... good to the last drop!!

After the story was complete, we arrived at The North Pole.  We were greeted by Santa Claus and his elves who were surrounded by beautiful Christmas lights!!

Much to our surprise, as we departed The North Pole, Santa boarded the train and gave us each a bell to remind us of the Magic of Christmas!!

WE BELIEVE!

Mom loves taking pictures so much that I thought I would try taking a picture of her and Daddy for a change... I think I did a pretty good job!!

Dylan thought I would look cute as a reindeer!!  I think he was right!

No adventure with The Bell Boys is complete without a little horsing around!  Good thing Mom was snapping pictures of these smiles because we would have had to stop climbing around a lot sooner if she hadn't been!

We returned to the train station, our ride aboard The Polar Express was complete, but the ringing of the bells will stay with us always!  What an awesome time we had!!

The Train Engineer stepped out into the cold winter air for a picture!

Back at the train station
"Mommy, I'll be right there... I am going to warm up my hands real quick," I said as I warmed my hands on the Christmas tree lights!!

We had a wonderful time on The Polar Express and will always BELIEVE!

We hopped up the next morning and hit the road.  We traveled from Palestine to Frisco... and we were so excited to see that the Christmas snow was still on the ground when we arrived!  Our first stop was Aunt Elizabeth and Uncle John's house.  We quickly headed to the back yard to PLAY!!

Wilson had so much fun running through the fluffy snow, and he was the only one brave enough to lay down to make a snow angel!

Ryan didn't lay down to make a snow angel, but he wasn't scared to run and SLIDE in the snow, or get down and dirty to gather snow to make great big snowballs!!

Dylan was quick on his feet in the snow and he sure threw a great left handed snowball!!

I didn't spend as much outside as the other boys, but I faced the cold without a jacket!  No matter how many times Mom asked, I assured her that I was okay... I even decided that I would test the temperature of the swimming pool with my bare hands... and it was ICE COLD!!

I quickly snuck back into the house to warm up by the fire and the boys started a full-fledged snowball fight!!  They were all smiles and laughs as they ran and played in the snow... at some points it looked like a tackle football game!

Kalynne and Hannah were good sports... they bundled up and joined the big boys outside for a bit!!

I came back out, this time shoeless, to share a quick smile with Mommy and my brothers!!

I returned into the warm house right after!!  In this situation, I think that the youngest counsins were the smartest!  We went outside for short periods of time, but returned to the warm playroom quite often.... fun times!!

All of us got together for one big snowball throw... Campbell, Dylan, Hannah, Wilson, Kalynne, Ryan, me, and Carter... one, two, THROW!!!

That evening, we all gathered at Uncle Cliff and Aunt Meredith's house for dinner and Christmas together!

Ready, set, OPEN!!

Dylan and I tried to get away with a little indoor football game after dinner, and we had fun while it lasted!!  Nothing was broken and no one was injured, but Mom quickly reminded us that it wasn't a good idea to play ball in the house!!

The next day we woke up and found that most of the snow on the ground had melted, but there was still a pile of snow on the trampoline at Aunt Jenn and Uncle Troy's!

We bounced for a little bit, but the second day of cold wasn't as exciting as the first.  We spent most of the day playing together inside with short outside visits when we felt the urge to throw a few snowballs while we still could!!

Friday evening was our last night in Frisco and we spent it enoying family time, pizza, and Texas Tech Red Raider football at Uncle Cliff's house!

The Big 12  Red Raiders pulled out a 34-31 win in the final seconds of the Meineke Car Care Bowl against the Big Ten Minnesota Golden Gophers.  It was a tight game from start to finish, but we were happy to see Uncle Cliff's Red Raiders celebrate a victory!!

On Saturday morning, we packed up and made our way to our next stop... Papa and Granny's!  On the way, we stopped at the famous Texas Aggie Barn!!  It was cold, so our photo session was short lived, but we gave the camera our best freezing smiles and made our way down the road!!

Next stop, KYLE FIELD... Home of the Fighting Texas Aggies!!!

It was just as cold at Kyle Field as it was at the Aggie Barn, but for some reason we couldn't feel the cool air as we ran and played on the field!!  What a breathtaking sight...

We enjoyed every minute, every step, and every pretend play that we made on the field... it was an amazing experience!!

This proud Aggie says Gig 'Em!!
We had to leave without catching a glimpse of the Heisman Trophy.  That was a little disappointing, but it only meant that we would need to make a return trip to Aggieland to admire Johnny Football's special award!!

We opened Christmas gifts and vistited with Papa and Granny!  It sure is fun to get to see our GREAT grandparents as we grow!!

A visit with Papa and Granny wouldn't be complete without our traditional meal at Rudy's Bar-B-Q!!  It was SO GOOD!!

Our Aggie family... Granna Fightin Texas Aggie Class of 1974, Papa '50, Mommy '99; Ryan Class of 2025, me '31, Dylan '28, and Wilson '29

I took a picture of Papa with Dylan and Ryan... a little crooked, but I think it is a good picture with character!!  Ryan took a picture of Dylan and me with our proud Papa!

Granna and Wilson
I took a picture of Nana with Dylan

Dylan took this picture of the Aggie Football Helmets.  They were AWESOME!!

Later that evening, we bundled up and visited College Stations's amazing light display... Santa's Wonderland!

We stood in line for the hayride, but time flew by... were surrounded by beautiful lights!!

We climbed up and held on tight!  We were ready to see the rest of this Christmas wonderland!!

The Christmas lights were spectacular and so was the MOON... you can see it shining brightly right above Uncle Jerry's head in this picture!!

Lots of pretty lights on Uncle Jerry and Aunt Allie's side!!

The lights were gorgeous and the hayride was fun... and it ended just before we lost feeling in our fingers and toes... I would say it was quite perfect!

On Sunday morning, we got up and had breakfast with Papa and Granny and then hopped in the Suburban one last time this Christmas trip!  It was an amazing journey filled with memorable moments, but we are ready to be back in Nederland, Texas!!  I was so anxious to be home that I asked "what state are we in" several times... I kept forgetting that after all of this traveling and all of these fun experiences, we had not even left the great state of Texas!!

When we got home, we each had a surprise waiting for us!!  I had writen a letter to Santa asking for a Walter Payton jersey for myself and a jersey for each of my brothers too!!  When Santa got to our house on Christmas Eve, he realized that these special jerseys did not make it into his bag, so he wrote a note explaining that he would send Brett back to our house with these gifts!!  Just as he promised, Brett delivered!!

What a wonderful Christmas from beginning to end!!
