FANTASTIC first week!

It seems like summer just started, but we are back to school for the 2012-2013 school year!

Ryan will be a big 4th grader at Langham this year!

Dylan is starting 1st grade!

Wilson will begin his Langham years as a Kindergartener this year!!

I am proudly beginning my Preschool year at Little Wooden Shoes!

Granna and Aunt Allie met the boys at Langham to wish them well on their first day!  It was bittersweet for them to watch the third Bell Boy leave Little Wooden Shoes to begin elementary school.

Mommy is proud of her Langham boys!!

Wilson is happy to be in Mrs. Gregory's Kindergarten Class!
After putting his things away in his locker, Wilson found his way to the carpet with the rest of his classmates.  He turned and gave Mommy this big "I'm going to have a great day" grin as she turned to go!!

Next stop, Mrs. Hussey's first grade classroom!!

Dylan found his desk and was ready to begin another great school year filled with reading, writing, arithmetic, and many other exciting things!

You probably have guessed that the last stop was in the 4th grade hallway... Ryan joined his friends in Mrs. Lapeyrolerie's class for his very last, first day of school at Langham Elementary!

Here I am with my Preschool Teacher at Little Wooden Shoes... none other than my Aunt Allie!  I think I am the luckiest one of all!!

Wilson got to leave school a little early on the first day!  He left with a smile on his face... he had a fantastic day!!  Sadly, he was leaving to visit the dentist to have a tooth extracted.  He was so brave... he walked right back to the dental chair and was calm for the entire procedure!

The tooth fairy visited and was very kind to Wil!!  Wilson was excited to tell us that "the tooth fairy left him $10 and he also left his tooth for him to keep!"  The tooth fairy (who Wilson insisted was boy tooth fairy) left a note telling Wilson that he left the tooth as a trophy for handling the procedure like a champion!!

We were all smiles on the second day of school!

Wilson and his Kindergarten friends sang the red song and Mrs. Gregory read a Clifford book in honor of the color red!  Wilson came out wearing his Clifford ears and grinning from ear to ear!!

No homework this week... only soccer practice.  Ryan is a happy camper!!

Dylan was just as happy as Ryan about no homework, but he was smiling because he got the new electric guitar that he has been waiting for after his guitar lesson on Tuesday!

Thank you, Nana!!

When we woke up and got ready for school on Wednesday, Mommy and I were reminded that we were the only two in our house left at Little Wooden Shoes!!

I think Mommy is a little sad that I only have two years left with her, but she will enjoy it while it lasts.... she is proud of her last Little Wooden Shoes boy (despite my crazy antics each day)!!

Thursday was Bulldog Pep Rally Day at Langham and we were ready to cheer them on in our BLACK and GOLD!!

Wilson raised his hands and his voice to show his Bulldog Spirit!!
I loved all of the spirit, but it sure was LOUD!!

Wilson wishing the Bulldog football players good luck for the first game of the season!
Wilson walking back to class with a big Kindergarten grin!

Ryan and the 4th graders got to stay after the pep rally for autographs!  Here he is getting Carson Raines' autograph.  Carson is the quarterback for the Bulldogs and is a peer tutor at Langham!
BIG NED!!

That was so much fun!  I can't wait until I am a Langham Bulldog!!

Friday was Langham Night at the Bulldog football game!  Ryan was chosen as one of the 4th grade boys to carry the banner!!

Langham Bulldogs! Wilson, Brady Corcoran, Kooper Grant, Dylan, and Logan Corcoran
Wilson with his new school buddy, Hunter Adams!
Sweet BB stops to give Peyton a hug!!

Proudly cheering for the Bulldogs as they pass through the victory line!

Wilson and Hunter walking on the track (Mrs. Gregory told them to stay together and they did just that)!!

Ryan and Wade Butler

Raise your hands... stomp your feet... mighty Bulldogs can't be beat!

Dylan and Wilson had a moment to smile between cheers!!

Cookie Monster says that the Bulldogs are, the great big cookie at the top of the jar...
Cookie Monster says that the Cougars are, the little bitty crumbs at the bottom of the jar!!

All for the BULLDOGS, stand up and holler!!!

A quick visit with Brody Bennett on the way to our seats!

We enjoyed watching a Bulldog Football VICTORY... 21-7!!  Great way to start the season!!

Kicking off Soccer Season!

We kicked off the 2012 soccer season with a little tournament play! We traveled to The Woodlands for the Texas Rush Tournament.  I split time between playing keeper and playing the field.

We played hard...

The games were intense...
... but we did not pull out a win.  The two teams that we competed against on Saturday were seasoned teams who play year-round soccer, while we were just warming up for our fall season.  In fact, this day was our first experience to play or even practice as a team!  We will take lessons from these losses with us as we train and work hard to prepare for the season.  Sunday's game was cancelled due to rain, so we traveled home to enjoy a nice afternoon together before beginning the last week of summer!

We celebrated Uncle Jerry's 24th birthday on the 20th!!

Peyton helped him blow out the candles on his yummy ice cream cake! WISH BIG!!

Dylan's attempt to "whip cream" Uncle Jerry in the face didn't work out as planned!! It was a fun celbration, but I have a feeling that his next birthday celebration may be complete with birtday PIE and a pie-in-the-face party!!

The Beaumont Kick Off Classic was the very next weekend.  I competed in the U10 Division.  Just as I did last weekend, I split time between playing goal and playing in the field.  I was happy with the way I played... I didn't allow any goals when I was keeper, played strong defense, scored two goals as forward, and made a couple of great assists!  It was a great weekend!!

I kept my head in the game during the short rain shower, but I couldn't resist the urge to catch a few raindrops on my tongue when player substitutions were being made!

Peyton loved the soccer games!  He was grinning ear to ear as he walked from field to field!

Here he is warming up in goal!  He let one get by...

...but he got down and ready next time...

...and made a great save!  Goalkeeper in training!!

Wilson's team competed in the U7/U8 Division. Dylan played as a guest player on Wilson's team since it was a U7/U8 Division and not all of Wilson's team members were available to play in the tournament!

Watch out!  There are two Bell Boys on this field!

Wilson made some great moves and scored four goals!

Dylan played awesome defense all weekend!  He was like a wall in the backfield!

Great game, guys!!

Trophy Time!!

Wilson, Dylan, Jackson Yoder, and Brady Corcoran

It was fun to watch Dylan and Wilson play on the same team!

Peyton was proud of his big brothers!!

Both of our teams went undefeated!  We are 2012 Beaumont Kick Of Classic Champions!!
