A Little Catching Up to Do!

We actually have a LOT of catching up to do! We have been very busy in the weeks since Nederland Homecoming and we have not taken the time to stop and share our adventures!

We are going to start by back-tracking just a little to share a couple of pictures of Ryan's Fall Baseball season (that ended the Thursday right before Homecoming)! The Nederland White Fall Ball team had a great season... Ryan and the boys only lost one game, and only by one run. It was a fun season for us all - Ryan enjoyed playing with his buddies on the field and we enjoyed playing around the ballpark with ours!

The Friday morning of Homecoming was a big morning at Little Wooden Shoes! We enjoyed a visit from the Nederland Fire Department to wrap up Fire Safety Week! We loved seeing and hearing about the fire engine and all of the fire tools, but we had the most fun climbing in the truck like real fire fighters!

On Saturday evening following Homecoming, we had fun together at home making SMORES!

On Sunday, Ryan's friends came over to help him out with his Reflections project for school. This years' Reflections theme is "Diversity means...", and to Ryan that meant that all of his friends look different and like different things, but they will always be friends. Here is a picture that mom took of Ryan and his friends once Ryan's "photo session" was complete!

While Ryan was working on his Reflections project, Aunt Allie worked with Wilson and Peyton to create their pumpkins for the Little Wooden Shoes Pumpkin Patch! Wilson painted his pumpkin black and put a Darth Vader mask along with a cape to create the "King of Darkness" pumpkin!

Peyton painted his pumpkin white and Mommy helped by drawing the stitching, for his MVP - Most Valuable Pumpkin!

Ryan's class decorated apples instead of pumpkins to get into the Halloween spirit! Ryan made a spider apple... here is a silly picture of Ryan and his creation!!

On Thursday evening, we joined my Kindergarten friends for a musical performance at Nederland High School! I had a lot of fun singing for the crowd... all of my fans told me that I did a great job!!

We played a little soccer on Saturday and then watched a little on Sunday! The Fury (Ryan's soccer team) was asked to walk with the Starting 11 Houston Dynamo players as they entered the field to play the LA Galaxy! It was a fun experience for us all!! Ryan entered the field with the Dynamos Goal Keeper #1 Tally Hall.

This week has been Red Ribbon Week and we have pledged to be DRUG FREE by dressing up for drug free spirit days! On Monday, we pledged to "turn our back on drugs!"

On Tuesday we showed that Bulldogs are proud to be drug free!

On Wednesday, we showed that "we are an army against drugs!"

On Thursday, we vowed to "put a cap on drugs!"

And on Friday, we showed our black and gold spirit with sunglasses to "shade out drugs!" Here is a picture of Ryan's class in their shades.

Tonight, one week after my music performance, we spent the evening at Langham for Ryan's 3rd Grade Performance! It was a Lights! Camera! Action! musical. The 3rd graders did a wonderful job singing fun songs from movies that we all know and love... Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Polar Express, Shrek, and Sponge Bob!

Tomorrow night will be Langham Night at the Nederland Bulldog Football Game, so we will have pep rally and football game pictures to share with you soon!

From Ring Bearer to Crown Bearer!

Ryan was Ring Bearer for Aunt Allie and Uncle Jerry's wedding this summer, and was the lucky 3rd grade boy that was asked to be Crown Bearer for the 2011 Nederland Homecoming!! It was so fun to watch him ride in the parade and walk onto the Bulldog Football Field under those Friday Night Lights!!

Flower Girl Sullivan Spell and Crown Bearer Ryan Bell!

We are all set for the Homecoming Parade!

Daddy and Coach Spell enjoying the ride!

The Bells and The Spells

Ready for the night!

I LOVED being on the track with Ryan! I even got to take a picture with Big Ned!

Granna and Ryan before the big event!

I think I might have been just as excited as Sullivan and Ryan!!

Good job Bubba Ryan (as Peyton would say)!!

It was a memorable Homecoming for us all... it was such an honor for a Bell Boy to be part of the big event at Bulldog Stadium!

Bell Boys Soccer Club!

Here we our in our very own team shirt! Mom and Dad decided that they would design one shirt and wear it to all of our soccer games instead of buying a shirt for each of our teams. We wear it proudly!!

Today was another fun soccer Saturday for the Bell Boys! Ryan played a great game in goal... making some wonderful saves. The Fury played super defense and made some great offensive plays. The game ended in a 1-1 tie. What a game!!

Dylan and the Gators fought hard today! Dylan scored a goal, but the Gators came up a little short and took a 2-1 loss

Wilson didn't have a 10 goal game like he did last week, but his 3 goals along with many others made by his teammates carried the Gladiators to another WIN! Off the field, I took him down... someone has to remind him that he is not unstoppable!!

Not only did we have a great day at the soccer fields, but Ryan and Dylan have done a super job at school for the first six weeks! Both of their teachers had great things to say about them! Mrs. Smith complimented Ryan on his kindness and consideration toward others, said that he has a great mind for math and science, and that he participates in class and is doing a great job retaining the information that she is teaching! All that, and all As on his report card... we are all so proud of our big brother!!

Mrs. Reynolds told Mommy that she is very proud of Dylan! He made a perfect score on the beginning of the year TPRI test and is reading like a champ. She said that he loves storytime on the carpet, he does a great job listening and comprehending the story that she is reading, and he laughs out loud at the funny parts!! We worried a little about Dylan and his socializing during class, but he has been a great student... one whole month of red apples down, seven months to go!!

We are so blessed to have such great big brothers paving the way for us!

Bulldogs BEAT those Indians!!

Last Friday was Mid County Madness and it was a happy ending for the Nederland Bulldogs!!

We had fun at the Friday night football game, but we sure had to wake up early for Ryan's 8am soccer game on Saturday morning! Here are a few pics from our soccer Saturdays...

Ryan is playing fall baseball, but mom hasn't taken any pictures yet. Almost unblelievable, but true... guess she has enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of fall ball as much as we have!

A little pre game playtime at "Camp Bell" before the Bulldog home game on September 23!

More fun to come this week!! Lots of school, lots of sports... who could ask for anything more?!

Wilson's First Day of CCD!

A very special first for Wilson... Wednesday was Wilson's first day of CCD! He was so excited to begin Pre-K CCD at St. Charles and we were so happy for him!! Here is Wilson in the traditional first day of CCD picture.
And standing proudly in front of his classroom door!!

Mom couldn't resist looking back at our old CCD pictures. What great memories!! Here is Dylan...

And here I am! In this picture, I think that I look a lot like Wilson does now. Mom said that we have all gone through stages where we look alike... looking at these pictures, I believe her!!

We had a super opening day of soccer! Wilson led the Gladiators to victory scoring six goals, Dylan's strong leg helped the Gators fight a tough fight, and Ryan made 2 saves in the goal and played great defense to support a Fury WIN!!

Getting Geared Up for Soccer!!!

Soccer begins this Saturday and we have been practicing and scrimmaging to get ready for opening day!! This year, The U9 Fury is playing as a Beaumont Youth Soccer Club Academy Team. I have had a great time playing defense and can't wait for another fun season with the boys of The Fury!!

Dylan will be playing on the U7 Gators and Wilson is on the U5 Gladiators. Wilson is so excited about his first season of soccer!! Here they are ready for a Thursday practice!

Here is Peyton pretending that he is at practice... he dressed himself for the event!!

Wilson kicking back for a little break!! This cute little guy has bronchitis, but you can't tell by his activity level... he is full speed ahead, only slowing down for medication and breathing treatments morning and night. He is our hard working Wilson even when he is not feeling top notch!!

We should have some good updates to share after Saturdays games!! Hope you enjoy the week!
