Happy Cinco de Mayo, Dylan!

Happy 6th Birthday, Dylan! We hope it was your best birthday yet... we sure enjoyed the days events!! The birthday celebration began at school with a yummy donut for morning snack with our Pre-K classmates. After that, we celebrated Cinco de Mayo style with a baseball pinata... lots of fun for everyone!!

As soon as we finished up the school day, we put on our Astros uniforms and headed for the Little League park for a baseball game. After the game, we headed to Mazzio's with our teammates to celebrate the BIG 6!

You can't ask for anything better than a baseball game followed by a pizza dinner with the guys :)

We returned home to find that Dylan got a dog for his birthday, but not quite the dog that he had been asking for!! He got a Bulldog statue instead of a real live dog, but he wasn't at all disappointed... this will satisfy him for now!

The perfect ending to Dylan's 6th birthday... a neighborhood bike ride!! Dylan LOVES riding bikes and he rode with his buddy Jake until dark!

We love you, Dylan and we are so happy that we got to celebrate your 6th birthday with family and friends!! No matter how much we "battle" each day, you are a wonderful big brother and I love you SO MUCH! Your brother- Wilson

Ryan's First Holy Communion

What a blessed day it was!! Today Ryan celebrated his First Communion alongside his friends, surrounded by his family. It was such a proud moment to see Ryan receive the Body of Christ... to see him so close to Jesus... to see our big brother standing so proudly in front of Father Dan and respectfully, confidently, and lovingly taking Communion for the first time. We are so very blessed to have enjoyed this day together with him!!

Ryan loves his Godparents - Uncle Troy and Aunt Jennifer!

Ryan and the boys with their cousins... love those sweet girls!!

One big happy family :) but you should see how many pictures it took for us to look this happy at the same time!!

Our hearts were so proud as we listened to Ryan along with the 76 other children who received their First Communion say together, "Dear Jesus, Come to me. I want to know You, I want to love You, I want to serve You. This day and always. Amen."

Enjoying Easter!

We hope that you and your family had a blessed Easter! Ours was very fun and relaxing!!

We splashed in the pool from Good Friday through Easter Sunday... we took swim breaks to play on the fort, jump on the trampoline, play a little backyard baseball, ride bikes (Dylan has recently mastered bike riding and LOVES it)! We also dyed Easter eggs, enjoyed our baskets from the Easter Bunny, gave Mom and Dad the usual "Sunday morning workout" at church (we try really hard to be good in church, but we have not yet mastered that skill), and hunted Easter eggs!!

We had so much fun enjoying Easter with our cousin Carter!! Bet you can't even tell that there is an extra Bell Boy in this picture :)

Here are a few more pictures of us enjoying Easter together...
Here we all are in our new shoes from the Easter Bunny!

Forever Changed....

It is wonderful to be a Bell boy... God broke the mold when he made our original Bell boy, but we are going to do our best to be more like him each and every day!! Our Paw Paw has gone to live with Jesus in Heaven at the young age of 58, but we are blessed beyond words to have enjoyed all that he had to give to us in the 8 short, 6 short, 4 short, and 2 short years that we knew him...

Paw Paw was our next door neighbor, our first best buddy and true friend, our favorite playmate, our spiritual leader, and our strongest supporter. He reminded us every day to be patient and kind, to take a smile out of our pocket to replace a frown, to enjoy our work time as well as our play time, and that nothing is more important than time spent together as a family. We will carry these lessons, and the many others that he taught us, with us for a lifetime.

Paw Paw celebrated every success with us. From big accomplishments to very small ones like this... making it to the top!!

A big hug after a soccer game!

He was always up for an adventure... in a teacup OR in a racecar!!

He would do ANYTHING to make us smile... whether it required a Santa suit or a lot of hard work to build a fort for us to enjoy... there was no limit to his love!!

In his eyes, we were all just perfect the way that we are! Playing or cuddling, dirty or all cleaned up, sad or happy, noisy or quiet, grumpy or silly... he loved every moment!

More than just a Paw Paw to our Wilson... his best buddy, favorite playmate, hardest co-worker, best coach, and Godfather...

At the young ages of 8, 6, 4, and 2, our lives have been forever changed. We will cherish the precious times that we had with our Paw Paw and we feel great comfort in knowing that he is watching over us each and every day...

always guarding... always protecting... always in our hearts...

Texas Roughriders - SETBA Invitational 8U Champions!

Our Texas Roughriders are back in the game! In their first tournament, they won a couple and lost a couple. This past weekend they played in the SETBA Invitational at Ford Park and were the 8U Tournament Champions!! The games were nail-biters, and the Roughriders worked hard to come from behind in the last two games of the tourney... so much fun to watch!!
