'Tis the season!

With Christmas comes decorations, lights, and our ELF!!  Brett arrived in the Bell house to keep an eye on us Bell Boys this Christmas season.  Brett is our friendly elf that listens to our wishes, takes note of our behavior, and talks with Santa and the other elves when he returns to the North Pole each night while we sleep!  We are working hard to be on our best behavior at home and at school too... there is an elf visiting each of our classes at school!!  Ryan's elf at school is named Jingle, my class elf is Frosty, Wilson's elf is Twinkle Bell, and Peyton's elf is named Donut (I think that he may have helped name that guy)!!

With Christmas also comes performances and other memorable activities!  Ryan, Wilson, and I attended the annual performance of A Whimsical Christmas at the NHS Performing Arts Center with our Langham classmates.  In the spirit of Dr. Seuss, we wore our Thing 1, 2, and 3 shirts!!  Peyton wore his Santa pajamas for Little Wooden Shoes' annual Pajama Day!

On Pajama Day at Little Wooden Shoes, all of the children and teachers in the school get together for a picture to use for the school Christmas card!!  There are a lot of smiles in one room on Pajama Day!!

After pictures, Peyton had fun swinging in his PJs!!

With Christmas also comes fun times with friends!!  Peyton's sweet friend RyleeJo Woods came to visit and play one December afternoon!

Not a traditional Christmas gathering of friends, but in Southeast Texas, shorts and splashing in December is not out of the question!!  A warm, rainy day invited us to play football until we were soaked to the core!
A wet and wild bunch... me, Evan Whitehead, Ryan, and Jake Havard!

Our friendly neighborhood gorilla even came out to play one afternoon!!  I sure wish he would chase us in a race because we run our fastest when this long-legged beast is chasing us!!  The gorilla is super fast, can hurdle fences, and can squeeze through the smallest spaces... he sure gives us a workout!!
It is really so silly that we race away knowing that the gorilla is our friend and VERY TALL neighbor Mason Simmons, but it is soooo FUN!!

'Tis the season for fun times, traditions, and memory-making!!
