A Winning Weekend!!

We kicked of our weekend with a Friday night front yard football game!!  It was cool outside, but we bundled up and had a great night!

We were not sure of the score at the end of the game, but we had a wonderful time playing together and we all walked away feeling victorious!!

 

Saturday's soccer games were a success!!  Ryan and Wilson both scored a goal and their teams both added a win to their record!

After the soccer games, we put on our Halloween costumes and headed to the pumpkin patch to choose our perfect pumpkin!

 

Wilson was proud to be a ninja this year!!

Ryan was the legendary Nolan Ryan!

Peyton was a Houston Astros baseball player!

 

These Bell Boys LOVE baseball, and I think that Wilson loves baseball as much as we do, but there was NOTHING that was going to keep him from being a ninja for Halloween!! 

After the pumpkin patch, we headed to a Halloween-themed birthday party!  We were happy to see our friends Wade Butler and Joey Hebert at the celebration!!

Here's the whole costume-clad bunch!  Most of the guests were Ryan's classmates [back row: Laurel Marroquin; the very tall birthday girl, Sierra Walker; Kierra Barlow; Kyndal Yoder; Anna Seymour; Sierra's younger sister, Ally; and Anna's younger sister, Ella]  We had fun playing games and getting a sneak peek at everyone's Halloween costume!

After the party, we moved on to St. Charles for the Halloween Carnival!  First stop... the roller coaster... our FAVORITE!! Woohoo!!!  That was a fun ride!!

Peyton LOVED his first ride on the roller coaster, and as soon as he hit the hay at the bottom, he was chanting AGAIN! AGAIN! AGAIN!

After we got that excitement out of our system, we headed into the Parish Center for the indoor games!  As we walked in, Wilson saw the very pretty gypsy, Camryn Slott.

After our eventful Saturday, we were happy to head to Ford Park on Sunday for our last ballgames of the fall season!  We played two "tournament style" games (winning the first game sent the team to the "Championship Game" and a loss sent the team to a final game).  Ryan and the Angels fought hard, but couldn't pull out a win in their first game of the day.  They had easily beat the team during regular season play, but a game filled with missed opportunities proved that a win just wasn't in the cards for the them.  On a positive note, this was only the team's second loss of the season AND Ryan played a great game!  Ryan pitched an inning, striking out the teams' first and second-hole hitters!  He also had a fantastic hit that could have been an "in the park homerun," but with no outs on the board, it was best to play it conservative and protect a run scored!  We were very proud of Ryan!!

It was now time for me and my Rockies teammates to play our final two games of the season!  We warmed up and were ready to hit the field!  We felt like champions as we ran out to our positions... I was happy to play first base for both games!!  We played two great games... lots of good hits, lots of strong defense...

...and we proudly walked away as Champions of our "tournament"!

Here I am with Coach Chris Fackler (in white).  Coach Chris is a great coach who truly loves the game of baseball!  He taught us as much as he could in the couple of months that we played for him, but what is even more cool than that is that he coached my dad's Junior Olympic Baseball Team!

I sure was proud to be called a Champion that day, and I know that I am going to keep working very hard so that I can be a Champion every day!!

The Angels won their final game, and even though the loss in the first game prevented a tournament championship, they left the ballpark proud of a 10 win - 2 loss season...  still the best record in their division!!
