Ryan attended the Texas Association of Student Councils' District 17 Fall Convention in Beaumont, with the C.O. Wilson Student Council on Wednesday, October 9.
The theme was "Leadership is Reality, Be More Than Your Reflection". Keynote Speaker Judson Laipply talked about viewing life and accepting the changes it brings. Laipply is known for the Evolution of Dance video. He performed it live for all of the students and they loved it. After Laipply spoke, every student broke off into table talk sessions. Ryan joined the Central Middle School table discussion about recycling at school. There were over 45 tables with different ideas...the convention was a great experience!
On Friday morning, the Nederland Fire Department made their annual Fire Safety Week visit to Little Wooden Shoes! It is always neat to talk to the fire fighters about staying safe, and we love getting to see the fire engine and all of the fire fighting tools up close and personal!
After school, we met our friends for the Homecoming Parade!

Our Bulldog Sweetheart enjoyed the parade too! She didn't catch any candy but she loved all of the sights and sounds!
The Bulldogs' Friday night opponent was the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Battlin' Bears. It wasn't an easy game, but the Bulldogs were victorious 27-14 over the Bears.
We had a great time and Mommy had the most handsome Homecoming dates in town!!
