First of school year FUN!

Ryan is a lucky boy!  Nana and Granna brought him Chick-fil-a for lunch on Grandparent's Day at C.O. Wilson, and if that isn't enough, they both bought him a book from the book fair!!  I know that our time will come when Langham has its book fair in the spring, but I sure do get excited about new books!

Another exciting event at the middle school was the 5th grade Student Council election.  Ryan was chosen by his peers as a delegate and we couldn't be more proud!  We know that Ryan is a good leader because he is our big brother... we know that we "give him the business" sometimes, but he is truly a GREAT big brother.  Nothing makes us happier than knowing that people his age see his kind and caring spirit, appreciation of differences, fairness to others, and love of life!!

One of our favorite parts of going back to school is BULLDOG FOOTBALL!!  We were filled with excitement for the first Friday home game of the season!

 

 

Not only was this the first home game of the season, this was Sawyer's first football game EVER!!  A whole lot more to come for our little Bulldog sweetheart!

 

I was so happy to see my buddy Ayden Sunday at the game!  I sure wish he was in my class at Langham but he is in first grade at Highland Park... no matter what school we go to, we are all proud to be Bulldogs!!

 

Dylan and I ran into our Langham friends Jackson Yoder and Hunter Adams!!  We love running around and playing football before the football players come into the stadium!

The Bulldogs beat Angleton 35-21.  It was a great game and we are looking forward to a season filled with fun Friday night Bulldog football games!

Another special September school event is See You at the Pole.  On the fourth Wednesday of September, Christian students gather around their school's flagpole before school for prayer, scripture-reading, and worship.  SYATP began in the United States in 1990, and has since spread to reach millions of students around the globe.

Back to school also means back to sports!!  We enjoy playing fall sports and we have fun supporting our friends in theirs!  Ryan and some of his Roughrider baseball buddies made a trip to Lumberton to enjoy the Nederland v. Lumberton youth football game between their baseball teammates, Matthew Mendoza and Clay Jenkins!
