Sunday Fundays at Ford Park!

We are big fans of fall!!  Friday night football games, Saturday soccer, and Sunday baseball... I would say that those activities are reason enough for fall to be one of our favorite seasons!!  Wilson and I didn't play fall ball, but we sure enjoyed watching Ryan and Dylan put in some innings!!

 

Dylan played with his Gladiator team.  They were called The Nationals, and for the first time these guys played kid-pitch together!  They were matched against older teams, but they did a great job.  They battled on the mound, learned to hit "kid-pitches", and worked hard in the field!  Dylan may have been the youngest and smallest on his team, but he did a "big job" the first time that he stepped on the mound!  This little lefty struck out three batters in a row!!

Ryan played on the mound, behind the plate, a little second base, some third base, as well as right and left field!  He really sharpened his skills this fall and had a great time doing it!! 

  

  

 

Dylan tried to hang in for Ryan's second game, but he just couldn't!  The two games that he played must have worn him out!!

Both Ryan and Dylan were thrilled that Sawyer came to "cheer them on" wearing her Bell Boys Biggest Fan onesie!  Little does she know, she will spend countless hours at ballparks cheering us on!  We promise that we will go watch her dance recitals with a flower in our hand and smile on our face!!

Ryan had a fall season that made us all proud! He is a wonderful life leader for us, and his leadership on the baseball field is no different.  His love and respect for the game is apparent in his play, he plays for his team, he shows great sportsmanship to his teammates as well as his opponents, and he does a mighty fine job on the field!

 

 

Dylan and The Nationals finished the final tournament in first place of their bracket!  The boys grew tremendously and learned a lot from their Sunday Fundays and Ford Park!

We are tremendously proud of Dylan!  It is the end of the fall season, but it is also the end of two and a half wonderful years with the Gladiators.  In the spring he will join his own age group and play with the 8U Roughriders!  It will be a bittersweet transition from one team to the next... from one life experience to the next.  I just know that this boy will do great things on the baseball field as he grows up!

 

Ryan and the Astros did not win their bracket, but they had a great season.  This young 11 year old team played in the 11-12 age group and they competed in every game!  Ryan really enjoyed playing with these guys and we loved watching them!!
