We spent the last few days of July enjoying an indoor water adventure at Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, Texas with our Frisco cousins!
As soon as we entered the waterpark, Ryan and I hit the ropes, and carefully made our way across the pool by stepping from one wiggly lily pad to the next!
After a few passes "across the pond", we met our brothers for some fun under the spinning sprays of water! Who new that indoor sprinklers could be so much fun?!
We waited for the ultimate spray of water from the enormous water bucket atop Fort Mackenzie!!
It was a gigantic splash that left us with huge smiles on our faces!!
I agreed with Peyton as he shouted, "That was totally awesome!!"
After the monster splash, we headed to the wave pool. It felt like we were splashing in the ocean waves!!
After a day filled with splishing and splashing, we cleaned up so that we could explore other activities around the resort.
We put on our wolf ears, and were ready to begin our first MagiQuest adventure!
Wands waving here...
...wands pointing there... this was just the beginning!!
While we were exploring, Peyton snuck away with Aunt Jenny to build a wolf buddy at the Creation Station! Peyton loved riding on the front of Aunt Jenn's "scooter" as she pushed her way around the hotel. She had torn a ligament around her ankle and the surgery to repair the tear was on the books, but she had to wear a boot and keep her weight off of it in the meantime... not so fun for Aunt Jenn, but super fun for our Peyton who is always looking for an adventure!!
After a while, we took a little break from play for a family dinner date at Grizzly Jack's Grill!
Story time and an evening howl at the Great Clock Tower in the Grand Lobby was the perfect ending to our fun-filled day!
Back to the room, but not straight to bed! Peyton and Carter played with Legos while Ryan, Wilson, Daddy, and I grabbed our wands and snuck off for another enchanted MagiQuest adventure. Wilson came back grinning from ear to ear as he announced that he was the first to earn the title of Master Magi!
Peyton squeezed in one more "silly" before he was off to bed! He changed into his wolf's baseball uniform when he was supposed to be changing into his night clothes!!
Once he settled down and cuddled up next to Ryan, it didn't take the little jokester long to drift off to dream!!
After a good night's rest, we were up and ready to explore... with wands in hand, Ryan and I were off!! We continued our quest, and along the way we found hidden treasures, met a pixie, got advice from a wizard, and worked our way toward the coveted title of Master Magi!
Peyton, Wilson, Kalynne, Hannah, and Carter headed to the outdoor pool for some fun in the sun!!
We filled the day with swimming, splashing, slide-riding, and then made time for a sweet treat!!
After a dose of sugar, we stopped by the Cub Club to design our Great Wolf Lodge gear!
Monday night's dinner was in celebration of Carter's 5th Birthday!
Another good day, and a good night filled with sweet dreams of tomorrow!
We made the best of our last day by getting up and getting WET!!
We rode slide after slide after slide... lots of screaming... lots of laughter!
Ryan and Kaly had fun sliding double!
I braved the slide solo!!
Peyton retired from the slides and took his turn on the Big Foot Pass. He made it from lily pad to lily pad, all the way across the pond! I think he smiled the entire way across!
Wilson, Carter, and I tried our luck balancing on the beaver raft!
Our time in the water had come to an end... it was time to dry off and get ready to go...
Our last stop was the video arcade! We won tons of tickets...
...rode fun rides...
...played neat games...
...and walked away with big smiles and a few cool prizes!!
I was thrilled to finish my three day stay by defeating the silver dragon!
I felt accomplished!! VICTORY!!
We had a blast, but Peyton was all smiles as we got in the car to head home!!

Good bye Great Wolf... it was GREAT!!
