Mother's Day Weekend was a BIG HIT!!

We started the weekend at Ford Park with a 10U Elite and 7U Select Texas Roughrider tournament!  The 10U boys started the day off strong, with an 8-1 lead over the OCS Chaos of Vidor, but in the last couple of innings, the Chaos closed in and finished the game with a 12-8 victory.  The second game was more of a success, ending in a 16-3 win over the Southeast Texas Venom.

Dylan and the 7U Roughriders had a tough outing against Showcase Baseball of Vidor, losing the game 17-13; and unfortunately, their second game ended in a 14-6 loss to Strike Force.  It wasn't a winning day for the team, but we came home and made a good day of it!  Dylan was excited to go with Nana pick out a new bicycle as his birthday gift!!  He chose a red Mongoose Strike, and he had a blast riding up and down Dylan Drive!!

Wilson and I joined in the bike riding fun!!

We woke up on Sunday and I got ready for my first day of swim lessons!  I was excited to brush up on my skills to get ready for a great swim season!!

While I was swimming, the 10U Roughriders were playing the Prospects. The Roughriders had an early lead, but the Prospects pulled out a 12-11 win.  We hated that their day on the field was done, but the boys were happy to share a smile with their friend and former teammate, Dean Guidry!

I made it to the ballpark in time to watch the 7U Roughriders play the Louisiana Bolt!

Dylan played great!!  He hit the ball well and he made some phenomenal plays at first!!

It was a tight game... I had to get closer to the action!!

Wilson was an awesome bat boy!!

Despite the Roughriders' hard work, the game ended in a 8-7 victory for the Bolt.

As always, we were very proud of our brothers and their Roughrider teams!  We are lucky to be following in their footsteps, but most of all we are so lucky that these ladies were willing to spend their special day watching us play the game that we love!!

Mommy loves her boys, and we love our Mommy!!

After the 7U Roughriders finished their game, each player gave their Mom a one-of-a-kind, autographed baseball! Mommy said that it was one of the sweetest gifts that she had ever received!

Ryan thought that the baseball was a wonderful Mother's Day gift, so he found a baseball and wrote his own special message!  Mommy said that this was a marvelous Mother's Day... a Mother's Day of the best kind... baseball and Bell Boys to make her day complete!!
