Dylan started celebrating his birthday a little early with a cookie cake for his classmates at school on Friday!
On Saturday morning, Dad, Mom, and Ryan headed to the Power Complex in Lake Charles, Louisiana for some Roughrider Baseball! The boys played great, winning their first game against the Marucci Phillies from Baton Rouge, LA; and then they enjoyed a second win over the Southeast Texas Venom!
Grandpa came out to support Ryan and the Roughriders!!
While that bunch was in Louisiana, Granna, Aunt Allie, and Uncle Jerry took me and Dylan (Wilson was in Frisco with Nana) for a day trip to Houston in honor of Dylan's 8th Birthday!! We started the day at the Houston Zoo where we saw cheetahs, and apes, and elephants - OH MY!!
For lunch, we stopped at the Aquarium to enjoy good eats and the beautiful aquarium in the center of the restaurant!
Our last stop was my very favorite... Minute Maid Park for a Houston Astros baseball game!! I even took a picture with Orbit the Astros mascot! It was so AWESOME!
When we woke up on Sunday morning, Ryan and Daddy headed to Louisiana for some more Roughrider baseball, and we got ready to go to church and then to celebrate our DYLAN!!
Birthday KISSES for the Birthday Boy!!
Mommy LOVES her Big D!!
Dylan's birthday celebration was later that afternoon at Athletes Sports Facility! It was a Baseball BASH!!
Birthday hugs from some of Dylan's favorite ladies!!
Get ready... set... GO!
The party started full speed ahead with dodgeball!
After we worked up an appetite, we took a break for cake!
Happy Birthday harmony, and wishes for a wonderful year ahead!!
Such a fun bunch of friends!

We ended the celebration with my personal favorite... a game of wiffle ball! It was a GRAND SLAM birthday celebration!!
Dylan saved the gift opening until Daddy and Ryan got home from the tournament. The Roughriders were victorious in their matchup against Power Baseball from Carencro, LA, and then lost the semi-final game against Southern Lightning, out of Iowa, LA. We were happy to have them home!!
Dylan was all smiles when the opened his great gifts! From the Texas Rangers shirt...
...to the Houston Astros towel...
...the toy guns...
...and the MONEY!!!
It was a great day for us all! We loved all of the fun and games, but the most special part was celebrating our brother Dylan!
