The excitement began last Friday...
Dylan's Pre-K class had Texas Rodeo Day. He told us that he had a great time galloping, racing on the stick horse, and playing cowboy boot ring toss! YEE HAW!
Also on Friday, Langham 1st graders had a music performance. I had a great time singing with my friends and I even enjoyed my speaking part (after it was over)!! Mommy, Granna, and Nana said that I did a great job, so I must have ;) We had a nice time visiting my classroom and taking a trip to the book fair!
Then came Friday evening and we headed to the Nederland Little League baseball park for our first Express game! Our team started the season off with a WIN! Here is a picture of me with my friend Brody Bennett. This is the 3rd season that our dads have coached together and we sure do have fun together... baseball buddies are the best!!
Saturday morning began bright and early with Little League Opening Ceremonies followed by team pictures - CHEEEESE!! Lots of playing on Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday! Monday, back to school and Express baseball practice. Tuesday, Roughrider batting practice and CCD. Wednesday, Roughrider baseball practice, Dylan's CCD, Peyton's 1st hair cut and Wilson's stitches out... here are the details of those 2 exciting events :)
Peyton had his hair cut for the first time. Mommy had a hard time letting go of those beautiful curls, so it was more of a trim! Mrs. Ashley cut enough off of the front so that his hair is no longer in his eyes, and a little around the ears, but that is all!! Peyton still has beautiful baby hair. Here are pics of the curls before...
,,,and while he is in the chair being such a big boy!
And now for our Wild Wilson: 7 days ago yesterday, Wilson lost a living room sword fight and had 2 stitches {on the living room floor} on the bridge of his nose (should have probably been 4 stitches, but 2 was all the trauma that he could tolerate so close to his eye)! That tough boy was back to normal the next morning and was so happy and brave when having the stitches removed last night!!
Wilson with stitches...
...and without!
Now it is Thursday, we went to school and then to the ballpark. Another win for the Express!! WOW what a week... and an action-packed Easter weekend to follow! In true Southeast Texas tradition, we will enjoy 2 crawfish boils tomorrow, might make a visit to the Southeast Texas State Fair on Saturday, and close out the weekend enjoying a fun-filled family EASTER SUNDAY at home!
HOPPY Easter to all!! Ryan and the boys
