We decided that it would be fun to have a weekend adventure right here at home! On Saturday morning, we got up and headed out to Sabine Pass to drop a line!
We dropped a few fishing lines and some crabbing lines too!!
We didn't hit jackpot at our first fishing hole, so we packed up and moved to a more lucky location!!
We captured the first crab and then they kept rolling in!!
Sometimes we scooped three crabs at a time!
We pulled in 26 crabs and then decided to try our luck at fishing again!
Wilson reeled in the biggest catch of the day!!
On our way home, we stopped McFaddin Beach.
This is where Daddy took Mommy on their first date on Saturday, April 24, 1993 (Daddy remembered the place, Mommy remembered the date)!! That was TWENTY YEARS ago... WOW!!
Much to our surprise at the end of our adventure-filled day, Peyton announced that he was ready to ride his bike without training wheels! Daddy took the training wheels off, gave Peyton a push and a little bit of guidance, and he was OFF!
There were a few WOAHs and UH OHs, but all in all, he was a super-quick success!
He sure was focused as he rode back and forth down the street!!
After a few falls, Peyton decided that a little prayer would help him be a better bike rider!
He was right... a hope and a prayer, and away he went!!
To top off our weekend of fun, Daddy bar-b-que broiled the crabs that we caught!
Mommy always tells us not to play with our food, but she didn't mind this time!
Before we started eating, we even had a good, old-fashioned crab battle!!
Pinch-Pinch-Pinch! YUMMY!!
