With the Roughrider season coming to an end, it made me realize that this season of baseball provided a joyful outlet for us all. It was about so much more than baseball... it was time together, it was a smile when we needed it most, and it was often times the perfect escape from reality.
While I played for the Roughriders, Dylan spent many weekends being the best-ever bat boy for our team! Wilson and Peyton were busy being our biggest supporters {who at times were distracted with their own game of ball (sometimes imaginary ball) between the fields}.
There were times after the tournament ended that we stayed a little longer to play our own ballgame! Mom and Dad always wondered how we had energy left after a long day of play, but there was always energy for a short game of brother baseball!
Dylan and Wilson played for the Nederland Little League Rookie League Astros. Daddy was a coach and we all enjoyed our time together at the ballpark!
Dylan was a hard hitting and big play-making first baseman! Some of his biggest smiles are on the ballfield.
Wilson was super fun to watch on the ballfield! He has a good bat and loves to run the bases, but the defensive game was a little slow for him. He kept himself (and us) entertained in the outfield!
Peyton Bell didn't miss a moment... our baby brother is happiest at the ballpark! There was no convincing him that he was not part of the team!!
I enjoyed every minute that I spent with my brothers, and loved having a front row seat to see them grow in the game!
Our favorite memories of the season might have been the games played in our own backyard! Mom caught some pictures of us after a day of Sandlot!
"Let the field be joyful, and all that is in it."
Psalm 96:12
